What if we never changed our lives after an Alzheimer’s diagnosis?

Nicole and Cooper welcome Maureen Gilchrist, as she tells the story of her mother’s Alzheimer’s diagnosis and her unique journey as a family caregiver.   Many of Maureen’s family members have had Alzheimer’s disease.  70% of her mom’s generation had Alzheimer’s disease.  This is a frightening concept to Maureen and her loved ones.  “What if I do develop Alzheimer’s, who’s going to take care of me?”   Because of the history of Alzheimer’s in her family, it has altered Maureen’s life.  She has done all of her planning.  No-one is going to have to guess what Maureen wants.
